It has been reported that Russia provides bounty to the Afghan militants to kill American troops and other coalition personnel.
Reuters quoted the "New York Times" report on the 26th that American intelligence agencies have concluded that the Russian army has provided bounty to the militants involved in Afghanistan and the Taliban organization, asking them to kill local U.S. forces and other coalition personnel.
The report said that a Russian military intelligence agency involved in European assassination activities offered a reward to Afghan Islamic militants or related armed criminals last year. The report added that US President Trump has received relevant intelligence reports and has not authorized any action against Russia.
The report pointed out that 20 US troops in Afghanistan died in combat in 2019, and it is unclear which deaths are suspected to be related to Russian operations. The US reached an agreement with the Taliban on February 29 to withdraw US troops from Afghanistan in stages.
